Petrocosmeas are known for shiny, emerald green leaves growing in dense, symmetrical rosettes. They are covered in fine white hairs and tiny bumps. Eye-catching, dainty white blooms flushed with pale violet are carried on short stems above the rosette. This plant has only been around for about 10 years, and has been incorrectly called Petrocosmea rosettifolia in cultivation. The name cryptica actually refers to the confused identity of this plant during its years on the market.
This plant requires high humidity and it best suited in a terrarium.
