Part of the prayer plant family, this plant prefers indirect light and evenly moist soil. The rufibarba grows long, velvety leaves that are soft to the touch with a deep maroon underside. It does not like to dry out between waterings and may start to curl its leaves if it is too dry. Native to Brazil and South America. Grows to a mature size of 2 to 3 feet tall.
